Final project made with Processing for ICAM102. The initial concept:  navigate what you draw.  The follow through:  difficult to completely incorporate Google Maps into the app, but got the idea across and personally realized there are additional overtones to this project. Users draw on either a preselected map of San Diego, or a blank green canvas. After making a picture by connecting lines, directions are provided through Google Maps, and the user can navigate their drawing (ideally) by foot.

First major project made with Processing for ICAM102.  The responses have been changed, and will be an ongoing task of changing them depending on what theme I feel like doing.  At the moment, it remains themeless.  The general purpose was to show how technology, both simple and advanced, can go awry.  In this case, a simple instant messenger protocol and interface don't work as the user intends.  The generated text has the benefit of being a tool to convey the meaning in the project, while at the same time aiding in entertainment, or sometimes, frustration.

MirrorMirror  |  03.09
MirrorMirror is a project created with Flash for ICAM 101 with the intention of exploring the user interface design aspect of products of different kinds.  The fictional mirror intends to provide its users with an at-home or in-store shopping experience that would allow users and shoppers to alter their appearance.  From a practical perspective, people can shop from home and "try on" clothes without having to leave the house through the use of the mirror.  The implementation of the user interface reflects the aim of simplicity and functionality that the mirror would likely have, such that anyone of any level of technical knowledge can easily navigate through the clean interface.
This project was a collaboration between Wesley Hsu, Mike Nefalar, and myself.
